On this special edition of After The Final Pour, off of the heels of the last ATFP, Brandon and Tony drink and discuss some Weller Special Reserve Bourbon. This episode was recorded November 2020. Cheers!
"The Original Wheated Bourbon Whiskey features an exceptionally smooth taste, substituting wheat for rye grain. Bottled at 90 proof, this bourbon stands out with its burnt orange color. Its softer flavor notes make this bourbon great for sipping or making cocktails."
On this episode, we drink a couple of NA beer, some carbonated hop waters and discuss what we're planning on brewing in 2021. Cheers to a new year of The Malting Hour.
New year, new season, new beers! Well.. sorta.
On our first ATFP of 2021 we drink Fulton Brewing's 2015 "Worth Adversary". We recorded this Thanksgiving weekend of 2020 after having a handful of beers beforehand. We thought this would be the best way to start the new year as we are doing "Dry January". Cheers! "This Russian Imperial Stout is not exactly a lightweight. It’s about drawing a line in the sand. It has a consistency similar to 5W-30. Adventurous tattoo artists have used it in place of ink. If left outside during winter, it won’t freeze, even in Minnesota. Beneath the shadowy exterior, a swirling ambush of coffee and dark chocolate flavors lurk atop a mountain of malt. For much of the year, the Worthy Adversary lays low, as if beneath the cover of canopy jungle. Don’t leave this aggression unchecked, or you may find it facing you down—eyeball to eyeball." |
