It's the time of year again AND what better way to kick off 2024 than with our annual Malteez.
Brandon, Tony, Dan and Clark (via home recording) list and rank their favorite beers of 2023. Thank you to everyone who has spent another year listening and supporting our show. If not for you, we definitely would not be doing this show.

As the holidays are upon us and we plan our final episodes of the year, we thought it'd be a good time to do some quick Malted Mini episodes!
This week Brandon and Tony sample Revolution Brewing's "DBVSOD". Next week we get into Christmas beers followed up by our favorite time of the year, THE MALTEEZ! "Occupying the epicenter of patience, refinement, and extremity, Double Barrel Very Special Old Deth is a foreboding incantation of swirling malt, spirit, and oak concentrated over several years in our most prized bourbon barrels. Cocoa, vanilla, and stone fruit emanate from the glass, with each decadent sip punctuated by American oak and warming alcohol."

This week Brandon and Tony drink Anchor Brewing Co. "Anchor Steam Beer". Hopefully this isn't the last time we have this delicious beer. "A true San Francisco icon, Steam Beer® is America’s original craft beer, named for the 19th century practice of fermenting beer outdoors due to the lack of refrigeration. As legend has it, the chilly San Francisco night air naturally cooled the fermenting beer, creating the visual of steam rising from the brewery rooftop. CRISPNESS OF A LAGER. COMPLEXITY OF AN ALE." After The Final Pour - S8E78 - JW Lee's "Harvest Ale 2007" (feat. Matt, Trevor and Tim of OIB)12/4/2023
This week Brandon breaks out a 16 year old Barleywine for us to try with the guys from Old Irving Brewing.
Beers description: Released in limited quantities in December, Harvest Ale gives a rich, strong flavour, beloved by beer connoisseurs. It can be laid down like a vintage wine for enjoying in later years. |
